the author has been allowed to in-
clude many portraits of The King
and Queen (with whose approval
the book is published) in quite
delightfully informal and home-like
surroundings both at Royal Lodge,
Windsor, and in London. The result
is unique. There is no other such
informal pictorial record of Their
Majesties and their family with their
dogs in existence, and its welcome is
assured. No further explanation is
required when pictures such as these
lie before the reader.
